This creative and fast-paced session is filled with ideas for using favorite children's songs to give your classes literacy experiences they won't forget!! Kathie will show you ways to turn favorite songs into Big Books, mini books, and class books that come in all sizes and shapes. Come join the fun and take away great ideas for using music and movement... rhythm and rhyme... and stories and songs to keep your children learning and loving it!! 75 min.

2. "Celebrating Reading and Music Throughout the Holidays"
Take advantage of the thrill and excitement of children's favorite holidays to make reading and writing meaningful and memorable learning experiences. This unique session offers fun, easy-to-use ideas to celebrate the holidays and celebrating the joy of reading as well. Kathie will share songs and ideas from her CD and companion books "Holidays" books I and II that will make bringing music back to basics easier than ever! Songs, chants, stories, Big Books, and minibooks, will be sung, read, and 'conjured' up! 75 min.
3. "Sing Me A Story, Read Me A Song ! - A Musical Make and Take!
This workshop includes both "Sing Me A Story, Read Me A Song" and "Singing and Reading Through the Holidays" in the morning. Plus in the afternoon teachers are given a chance to use the patterns and directions provided to make their own Big Books, mini books, and shape books. Teacher love to take home something they can use the very next day!! Full day workshop.
